Joannes paulus
Joannes Paulus, is a passionate youth advocate who has worked with young people across Africa and the world for more than seven years, focusing on engaging youth and men as key partners in the drive to fulfill the SDGs. Joannes is a Cancer biologist by profession but have background in Public Health, International Development, Diplomacy, Entrepreneurship and is currently completing a Masters degree in Leadership and Community Engagement at York University, Canada. As a Global Youth Ambassador influencer for A World at School, Joannes has spent most of his life advocating for access to quality education for all, especially for girls and those in communities affected by conflict. Joannes’s work to engage males in the push to disrupt norms and challenge perceptions in order to promote gender equity and the empowerment of women and girls was featured as one of the first IMPACT stories in the UN Women’s HeForShe campaign. Joannes is a motivational speakers and has shared his work at the United Nations and the Vatican, and was recently honored by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace for his demonstrated courage and leadership in their work as change agents for universal education. Joannes has met with key policy makers including heads of states to advocate for global issues around education in emergencies, Sexual Reproductive Health Rights of Women and Girls, Gender Equality, Nutrition, Adolescent Health, disability rights and access to WASH services in schools. As Mother Teresa once said – “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
